A Poem

All human beings are in truth akin;

All in creation share one origin.

When fate allots a member pangs and pains,

No ease for other members then remains.

If, unperturbed, another's grief canst scan,

Thou are not worthy of the name of man.

Sa'adi

The Children of Adam are limbs of each other
Having been created of one essence.
When the calamity of time afflicts one limb
The other limbs cannot remain at rest.
If thou hast no sympathy for the troubles of others
Thou art unworthy to be called by the name of a man.

Quotation from a Poem

2008 Joan Ruddock MP and Dr N Nasimi

Joan Ruddock Member of Parlimentfor Lewisham and Deptford is here discussing the supplementary learning organised by the Afghanistan Asian Community Organisation with Dr Nooralhaq Nasimi.

We run these classes every Saturday from 12-3pm  to improve the English of the Afghanistan refugee in the United Kingdom, this is a very valuable part of our work.

We also provide supplementary Classes for children from 4-18 to expand their knowledge in history, geography, maths, english and other subjects. We also provide mother tongue classes for children to learn their own language and culture.

    One to One Advice Sessions

Afghanistan & Asian Community Organisation provides outreach services, giving you an opportunity to talk to an experienced advisor about what you want from volunteering.

These sessions are informal and often held in public buildings such as libraries or leisure centres, making it easy for you to get to us.

To attend one of these sessions you would need to call us on 02073588200 or email : n.nasimi@afghanistan-asian.org.uk and make an appointment.
