Our Priorities

TheAfghanistan and Central Asian Association aims to be a leader in the support, development and integration of immigrant communities; in particular supporting refugees and asylum seekers from Afghanistan and Central Asia.

Our Priorities:

Create more educational opportunities for deprived people, Offer courses in business and employment, Hold job searches sessions, Expand English and Citizenship classes, Organise conferences and seminars on social policy, Arrange sporting activities for different age-groups Deliver IT training courses Provide one-to-one sessions for people who need help Organise drama, art and music courses for young people Run workshops in Business and Enterprise.

Provide Life skills & Citizenship classes. Run Language and other educational classes. Empower the community through enterprise. Raise awareness of general public about Afghanistan and Central Asian culture, history and their contribution to British culture through educational and cultural activities. Alleviate poverty, improve health, isolation and distress. Advance education, preserve and protect the family unity.

Promote the human rights of all people, particularly the marginalised, women and children. Help refugees, asylum seekers and victims of human rights abuses through education of our service users and the wider public using creative, informal events, formal seminars and training workshops. Provide humanitarian and other essential aid to those in need in Afghanistan Relieve poverty, sickness, distress and preserve and protect the good health of people in Afghanistan and the Asian community. Advance Human rights by educating the public about human rights and human rights abuses and improving literacy of the people in Afghanistan.

Charity's Objectives

Our aims:

1. Educate and empower all our participants, particularly women and children, to learn more about where they come from using activities based on their heritage nations, in order to make children proud and better informed about their backgrounds.

2. Raise awareness of international development by adapting existing resources and materials to inform, engage and train participants - particularly our women’s classes – enabling them to share their knowledge more widely.

3. Gain and use new techniques and skills to train the people with whom we engage so that they are aware and proud of their heritage nations.

4. Teach modern presentation and communication skills to empower and build the skills of our participants. Advance education, health, and quality of life of Afghan and Central Asian communities in theUnited Kingdom.
